A steam operated pile driver at the "Thresheree" in Edgerton (Rock County) Wisconsin. A coal fired boiler builds up steam which makes the hammer/weight drop down onto the log. the Thresheree is held every Labor Day weekend at Thresheree Park on Wisconsin State Route 51, just South of Edgerton. A nominal admission fee gives access to a huge number of steam operated machinery including tractors and other agriculture implements. There is also a huge exhibit of gas/diesel equipment. See also "Steam Tractor", "Steam Saw Mill", and "Rock River Cannonball", all on this (ipfeldspar) channel.
